Police Hunt For Thieves Who Killed IRT In Aceh Besar
BANDA ACEEH - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Banda Aceh City Police is pursuing the alleged perpetrator of the murder of an IRT from Sabang, Evy Marina Amalawati (53), in Gampong Kajhu, Baitussalam District, Aceh Besar.
"He was found dead in his house. The victim was allegedly killed by someone using a stone that was hit in the head of the victim," said Head of the Banda Aceh Police Satreskrim Kompol Fadillah Aditiya Pratama as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, January 2.
Fadillah revealed that the victim was first found by her son named Cut Nur Marlia (25) on Tuesday morning at around 05.00 WIB.
According to the victim's child, someone entered the house and was suspected of wanting to commit theft.
"Then at the same time he contacted his friend Reza (28), a resident of Banda Aceh, to be able to come to the house," he said.
Arriving at the scene of the incident, Reza saw the victim lying on the floor of the room bleeding, then the victim's child crying hysterically.
Furthermore, Reza immediately asked for help from neighbors around the victim's house. Not long after, village officials and residents arrived at the victim's house.
"We conducted a crime scene with Inafis and interrogated the victim's child and witnesses to determine the characteristics of the perpetrator," he said.
Fadillah said the perpetrator had not had time to take the victim's valuables, but had killed the owner of the house.
"This is a criminal act of violent theft that resulted in the loss of a person's life," he added.

At the TKP, the Inafis team found a stone that was allegedly used to hit the victim's head.
Evy Marina's body was then taken to the Zainoel Abidin Regional General Hospital, Banda Aceh, for a post-mortem.
Until now, the police are still investigating and pursuing the alleged perpetrator of the violent theft.
"We ask the perpetrators to immediately surrender to the police before taking firm action," said Kompol Fadillah.
