BMW Big Plan In India In 2024, Introduce Series-5 To Latest Mini Models

JAKARTA - As the country with the most population in the world today and the increasing economy, India apart from China is the main goal of marketing global automotive manufacturers including BMW.

This luxury German vehicle company managed to undergo 2023 impressively after successfully launching several of its newest products for various markets. This Bavarian manufacturer will continue its trend by launching various models in India for 2024.

Reporting from Autocar India, Monday, January 1, the latest generation BMW Series-5 will greet the Indian market by offering some of the latest technologies, from the latest instrument cluster to the iDrive 8.5 system that was developed for the better.

While some versions of the Series-5 currently on sale will not be brought to the Indian market, the manufacturer will take the model with a longer version of the wheelbase and will be a direct competitor to the Mercedes-Benz E-Class.

In addition to the pure combustion engine (ICE) version, this well-known brand will also bring the EV Series-5 version, namely i5. Although the type that will be brought to the Indian market is still unknown, the sedan offers M60 xDrive and eDrive40 variants for global consumers.

Both Series-5 and i5 will complement the ranks of luxury vehicles in the country. However, it seems that customers will have to wait longer because these two models are expected to be present in the Indian market by the end of 2024.

Not only bringing the BMW vehicle line, but the company will also bring the latest Mini model. The latest generation Cooper will be brought to the Indian market with some significant changes and improvements compared to the previous one.

The model will come in an electric version offering a 40.7 kWh battery pack with a range of 305 km for the E and SE variants which have a distance of 402 km on a 54.2 kWh battery. The hatchback will be present in the country in early 2024.

Finally, the latest Mini Countryman will also be brought in with a spacious cabin room that has better driving skills. It is likely that the ICE version will be offered with a 2.0 liter turbocharged gasoline engine.

The EV version will also color the environmentally friendly vehicle market with type E which has a single electric motor measuring 204 dk and a torque of 250 Nm and a four-wheeled SE ALL4 and a dual electric motor with a magnitude of 313 dk and a torque of 494 Nm. Both carry a 66.45 kWh battery and offer a range of 462 km and 433 km.
