Capai Milestone History, This Chinese Brand Successfully Launches 1 Million Vehicles From The Production Line
JAKARTA - A Chinese car brand, GAC Aion, which focuses on producing the New Energy Vehicle (NEV) model, has reached a milestone where it has launched its vehicle which is one millionth of the production line.
Quoted from the CNevpost page, Saturday, December 30, the vehicle that slid was exactly one million, namely the Hyper HT model which is a sub-brand of Aion to reach the premium segment, on December 28.
As is known, the first model of GAC Aion launched from the production line was carried out in April 2019, meaning that it is currently touching the fourth year of eight months, and is claimed to make the world's fastest car brand to reach this milestone.
Looking back at GAC Aion's history, the first plant started operating in April 2019, and the NEV division officially began self-operation on November 20, 2020.
Based on data from Carnewschina, in recent years, GAC Aion sales have increased significantly. Where in 2019 it reached 42,003 units, in 2020 it touched a sales figure of 60,033 units, in 2021 it reached 120,155 sales units and in 2022 sales were at 271,156 units, meaning a double increase almost every year.
Last year, GAC Aion launched its upper-class luxury sub-brand, Hyper. So far, a total of three models have been launched, namely Hyper SSR, Hyper GT, and Hyper HT, which are claimed to help with the profitability level of GAC Aion.
With two large sub-brands, Aion and Hyper, GAC Aion sales are increasing this year. At the end of November this year, GAC Aion's annual cumulative sales have reached 434.056 vehicles, a year on year increase of 79.99 percent, with sales in November reaching 41.567 units, up 44.51 percent from the previous year.

GAC Aion has ambitions to achieve sales of one million vehicles by 2025. To achieve this goal, GAC Aion plans to further improve its strategy outside China, including entering the Thai market.
In June 2023, GAC Aion signed a memorandum of cooperation with Jinhui, Thailand's first dealer, representing the official entry of the brand into the Thai market.
Then earlier this month, GAC Aion announced the entry of the brand into the Cambodian market and launched the Aion Y Plus. Where is the country being the second foreign market. Will the brand also enter Indonesia? Given that many Chinese brands are now starting to penetrate the country's market. Of course, it is worth waiting for its presence.
