Locked From Inside The Room, A 7-year-old Boy Dies Falling From The 4th Floor Of The Rawabek Cakung Flat

JAKARTA - A boy with the initials AR (7) was found dead pathetically with a head wound bleeding after falling from the 4th floor of the Rawa Bebek Flat block C Lajang, Pulogebang Village, Cakung District, East Jakarta, Friday afternoon, December 29.

Cakung Police Chief Kompol Panji Ali Candra said AR's victim was first known to have died when a witness who at that time was doing community service around the scene.

"A witness at that time was carrying out community service with the children of a social institution suddenly heard a sound of objects falling, after the witness saw it, it turned out that the child had fallen, then the witness contacted the security officer," said Kompol Panji when confirmed, Friday, December 29.

Then, the report was forwarded to the police by security officers to take further action. Arriving at the location, members of the Cakung Police carried out the identification process for the victim's body.

From the identification results, it was discovered that the victim before the incident died was alone at his residence in the flat.

In addition, the condition of the door where the residence was also locked from the inside by the victim. The door was also blocked by a bench. Meanwhile, the window of the house with a height of one meter looks open.

"After the members arrived at the location, it was true that there was a victim who died, a seven-year-old child. The victim lived at home alone and his parents worked," he said.

Meanwhile, the victim's parents at the time of the incident were at work, not knowing that their child had died.

"There is no trellis in the window. The victim is expected to fall from the window," he said.

Kompol Panji explained, AR died after suffering serious injuries to his head. The victim was then taken by the Kramat Jati Police Hospital for further investigation.

"The victim died from serious head injuries due to falling from the fourth floor hit the flat terrace, while other injuries were not found," he said.

As a result of this incident, the victim's family was not willing to do an autopsy.

"There is a attached statement letter accepting it as a disaster," he added.
