Iran Announces Execution Of Four Allegedly Linked To Israel's Mossad
JAKARTA - Iranian authorities recently executed four allegedly linked "bobotages" with Israel's intelligence service, Mossad, according to Mizan's news agency affiliated with the country's court on Friday.
"Four members of the sabotage team linked to the Zionist regime, which has taken extensive action against state security under the direction of Mossad agents, were executed this morning according to legal procedures," he said.
Iran has previously announced the arrest and execution of suspected agents working for foreign countries, including Israel.
The Tehran government itself often claims to thwart Mossad operations in its country, but the truth of these claims is unclear.
In the middle of this month, an Israeli Mossad intelligence service agent was executed in Sistan-Baluchestan Province in southeastern Iran, the IRNA news agency reported.
"This person communicated with foreign service, particularly Mossad, gathered classified information, and with the participation of his colleagues, provided documents to foreign service, including Mossad," the media reported.
