JAKARTA - The company developed and published the game, Square Enix has announced that the service for the game Fullmetal Automaker MOBILE will end on Friday, March 29, 2024.

The "Fullmetal Alchemist MOBILE" service will end at 13:00 on Friday, March 29, 2024. We apologize for the inconvenience and would like to inform everyone who plays this game on a regular basis," Square Enix wrote in an announcement on its official website.

Square Enix are killing off the Fullmetal Alchemist Mobile game in March 2024 (only 1 year and half after its debut). This wasn't localized death of Japan btw. I was saying Square doesn't understand FMA's global popularity and are missing out on making new console games. pic.twitter.com/JwI6c9bfm5

In a statement, the developer said that, although the game had received a positive response, they also received various opinions from players regarding the studio's inability to provide services that satisfy players.

First released in August 2022, the development team has worked together to update the game, including revising several systems. In fact, they also discussed for the next birthday.

"However, given future prospects, maintaining the team structure to provide more operational services than ever becomes difficult, so we decided to end the service," added the developer.

They claimed to have tried various ways to continue the service, but unfortunately the company was no longer able to do so.

Since the service will end before the development team can deliver the original story that was promised earlier, the team will produce it as a voice-filling drama which will be released sequentially via streaming between January and March 2024.

"Regarding this story, we are looking for ways to convey it to our customers who have been waiting all this time, and decided to produce it in the form of voice dramas," he concluded.
