Former Employee Of Mitra XL Axiata Banyumas Steal 4 BTS Batteries, Sold To Penadah Rp2.5 Million
BANYUMAS The thief of the BTS XL tower battery area located in Grumbul Gunung Depok, Pasinggangan Village, Banyumas District, Banyumas Regency was arrested by members of the Banyumas Police Criminal Investigation Unit.
Banyumas Police Chief Kombes Pol Edy Suranta Sitepu through the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Banyumas Police, Kompol Adriansyah Rithas Hasibuan, said that his party had arrested two suspects from the case, both thieves and collectors.
"We managed to order DS (32) a resident of Kedungwringin Patikraja, Banyumas Regency, as a suspect in the theft. And YA (31) a resident of Sokaraja Kidul, Sokaraja District, Banyumas Regency, as a suspect in holding stolen goods." said the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit in a written statement, Juma'at, December 22.
Kasat explained that the theft took place on Wednesday, November 29 at around 22.00 WIB. The reporter from PT XL Axiata found a tower in Grumbul, Mount Depok, dead.
After being checked, the complainant found 4 SHOTO Battery Fruits with 2408100 SDA Series and 2 Genesis Battery Bank containing (8 Picis) with 12TD100F4-100AH series, missing.
"For this incident, the company reported the incident to the authorities at the Banyumas Police with a total loss of Rp. 19,680,000." said the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit.
The results of the examination of the suspect, DS is a former employee of PT. MITRA KARSA UTAMA who is a partner of PT. XL Axiata.

The suspect's mode was to steal by borrowing a shelter key from the tower guard and then entering the tower area and then taking the battery.
"After committing the theft, the 4 lithium tower batteries were sold by DS to YA (commerce) at a price of Rp. 2,500,000 per battery. In total, the total amount reached Rp. 10,000,000", he explained.
The evidence provided by officers included 1 (one) lithium tower battery, shoto brand, black, SDA 10-48100 type.
From the results of the development, the suspect also committed battery theft at the Kuning Kedungwringin Gubug Tower, Patikraja, XL Karanggintung Tumbang Tower, Hr Bunyamin Street, North Purwokerto Pabuaran, Karangklesem Tower, South Purwokerto, and XL Tower, Pageraji Village, Cilongok.
"For this incident, the suspect is subject to a criminal act of theft with a weight as referred to in Article 363 of the Criminal Code with a maximum prison sentence of 7 years. Meanwhile, the collector is known as Article 480 of the Criminal Code with a maximum prison sentence of 4 years in prison", concluded the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit.
