H-4 Christmas 2023, Homecoming Cars Of Sumatra And Java Start Crowding Bakauheni Port Lampung

Vehicle activity at Bakauheni Port Executive Pier, Lampung, is starting to increase. Hundreds of homecoming cars packed the port area on the D-4 Christmas 2023 and New Year 2024 holidays.

Based on observations, there are hundreds of four-wheeled vehicles crowded the Executive Pier of Bakauheni Port waiting in line to get on the ship.

The homecoming vehicles are dominated by the plates of Sumatra BG, BM, BK, BE, but also look at Javanese regional plates such as B, A, F, T, and D.

Although there was a density of four-wheeled vehicles in the parking bag of the executive dock, it did not cause long traffic jams and seemed to run smoothly and safely.

PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry Bakauheni Branch recorded that the number of ship passengers using four-wheeled vehicles from Bakauheni Port, South Lampung, to Merak Port, Banten, on D-4 Christmas reached 4,263 vehicles.

GM PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry Bakauheni Branch Rudi Sunarko appealed to crossing service users to be able to buy Ferizy tickets from far away.

"So we appeal to prospective travelers from Sumatra Island to Java Island who will use ASDP crossing services to buy tickets from far away," he said, confiscated by Antara.

To note, PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) has imposed a new provision for purchasing ferry tickets starting December 11, 2023.

This provision applies to Bakauheni Port, Merak Port, Ketapang Port, and Gilimanuk Port.

The new provision is that the ferry ticket booking can be made up to a maximum radius of five kilometers before the port, which is stipulated in the Letter of the Director General of Hubdat AP.406/1/5/DJPD/2023 regarding the Arrangement of Electronic Ticket Ordering Services around the Port.
