Ending A Visit In Japan, Jokowi Invites Emperor Naruhito To Visit Indonesia
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo together with ASEAN state leaders attended a tea banquet held by Japanese Emperor Naruhito and Queen Masako at the Imperial Palace, Tokyo, Japan, Monday 18 December.
Based on a press release quoted by ANTARA, in Jakarta, Tuesday, December 19, before the tea banquet began, Emperor Naruhito first gave his speech.
Emperor Naruhito congratulated him on the successful implementation of the ASEAN-Japan 50th Anniversary Summit.
Emperor Naruhito hopes that the summit can provide an opportunity to advance ASEAN-Japan friendly and cooperative relations.
"On this auspicious occasion, I wish you success and good health as well as the happiness and welfare of our people in the ASEAN country," said Emperor Naruhito.
Emperor Naruhito, Queen Masako, together with other country leaders then held a tea banquet together.
Before leaving the Imperial Palace, President Jokowi had a chance to talk again and convey a message to Emperor Naruhito and Queen Masako to return to Indonesia.

The President also hopes that Emperor Naruhito and Queen Masako can visit within a longer time than before.
"I am waiting for the presence of His Majesty and Queen to come to Indonesia for a longer time. One month or two months," said President Jokowi, who was greeted with laughter by Emperor Naruhito and Queen.
