Kapuspen TNI : Major Teddy Ajudan Implemented Minister Of Defense Prabowo's Activities

JAKARTA - Major Inf Teddy Indra Wijaya, aide to Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto, was in the spotlight in the first presidential candidate Debate at the KPU on December 12, 2023. Although he was seen sitting in line with supporters of Prabowo, Kapuspen TNI, Rear Admiral Julius Widjojono, emphasized that Teddy's presence did not represent the TNI institution and was not for personal gain. "He is only an aide who carries out his duties following the activities of the Minister of Defense. He does not represent the TNI institution or personal interests," said Head of the TNI Rear Admiral Julius Widjojono at TNI Headquarters Cilangkap, East Jakarta, Monday 18 December. "Aides are always attached to the activities of the Minister of Defense, the person concerned is only carrying out his duties as aides, nothing more," continued Julius. Major Teddy has served as an aide to the Minister of Defense since 2020. Previously, he served as assistant to President Jokowi's aide from 2014 to 2019.

He said, his presence at the debate event was part of the implementation of his duties as an aide, not as an official representative of the TNI. This affirmation was conveyed to avoid misunderstandings regarding the involvement of the TNI in the political realm. Even though the photos and videos are seen uniformly with Prabowo's supporters, Teddy is still recognized as only an aide who carries out his duties with the Minister of Defense.
