Police Investigate Begal Case That Hits Karyawati In Duren Sawit

JAKARTA - Duren Sawit Police Chief AKP Sutikno said his party had dispatched a team to conduct an investigation regarding the incident of an employee being robbed on Jend Street. Soekanto Hospital, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta.

"We will continue to dispatch a team to carry out an investigation, maybe if later it is found there are indications of the perpetrators there. God willing, we will look for the victims to make a report," said AKP Sutikno to VOI, Friday, December 15.

AKP Sutikno also said that his party continues to serve the community in order to create regional security and conduciveness.

"We will continue to accommodate us to carry out an investigation. We will deploy the Serse team to map (red-map) around the location, as reported," he said.

Previously, Kartikawati (43), a motorcyclist, became a victim of a robbery while crossing Jend Street. Soekanto Hospital, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta. The victim was covered with sickles and threatened with hard water by the perpetrators.

According to the victim's statement, the robbery began when he was passing on Jend Street. Soekanto Hospital at night. Due to the red traffic sign, the victim driving a Yamaha Mio J stopped his motorbike.

The victim came from Basura to Pondok Kelapa. He crossed the side of the BKT road which looked deserted. When his motorbike stopped waiting for the green light, suddenly the victim's motorbike was grabbed by three perpetrators riding a motorbike.

"The perpetrators were three people. One perpetrator immediately got into the back seat of my motorbike while draping a sickle around my neck. The other perpetrators also carried sharp weapons while threatening and scaring me," Kartikawati told reporters, Thursday, December 14.
