Anticipating Misappropriation, Ganjar Wants Taxes To Be Simple And Digitized

JAKARTA - Presidential Candidate number 3 Ganjar Pranowo wants tax revenues to be taken care of directly by the presidential institution. This is expected to anticipate misappropriation of tax results.

According to Ganjar, the current tax system is complicated, so he offers a solution so that tax revenue and non-tax revenues are no longer managed by the Directorate General (Ditjen) of Taxes who are in the Ministry of Finance.

"I think the matter of state revenues, taxes and non-taxes is no longer handled by the Director General, it is managed by institutions under the direct president," said Ganjar in the Apindo Candidate 2024 Dialogue entitled Roadmap for the Indonesian Economy 2024-2029 at the Mega Bank Tower, Jakarta, Monday 11 December.

According to him, this solution can make it easier for people to want to pay taxes.

"Try making a simple tax, surely people will want it, what? Digitization," continued Ganjar.

That way, in addition to making it easier for the public to pay taxes, according to him, this policy can reduce fear for entrepreneurs so that tax revenues can be optimal.

"If we increase the ratio, actually the fear of fellow entrepreneurs is slaughtered, becomes an object and is fired on many times," he said.

"So if we talk about optimization, how many have NPWP, how much will they pay, and how many have written SPT," added Ganjar.
