KPK Duga Wamenkumham Eddy Hiariej Not Only Received Rp8 Billion From PT CLM Boss
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) suspects that former Deputy Minister of Law and Human Rights (Wamenkumham) Edward Omar Sharif Hiariej or Eddy Hiariej did not only receive Rp8 billion from the former Director of PT Citra Lampia Mandiri, Helmut Hermawan.
This allegation was conveyed by KPK Deputy Chairman Alexander Marwata after the anti-corruption commission officially detained Helmut on Thursday, December 7 yesterday. Investigators will conduct an in-depth investigation regarding the gifts made through lawyers named Yosi Andika Mulyadi and Yogi Arie Rukmana who are his personal assistants.
"KPK makes the provision of money amounting to around Rp. 8 billion from HH at EOSH through YAR and YAN as initial evidence to continue to be traced and explored until it is developed," Alexander said as quoted from the Indonesian KPK YouTube, Friday, December 8.
Meanwhile, regarding the provision of billions of rupiah, Alexander detailed that several money was handed over. First, a gift of Rp. 4 billion was given when he agreed to provide a general legal administration consultation for the dispute over ownership of PT CLM.
Then, he also received Rp3 billion to stop the legal process involving Helmut at the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit through the issuance of a letter of termination of investigation (SP3).
Finally, Eddy is suspected of using his power as Deputy Minister of Law and Human Rights to unblock PT CLM in the Ministry of Law and Human Rights' Legal Entity Administration System (SABH). "HH again gave around Rp1 billion in money," said Alexander.
The acceptance, continued Alexander, was said to run for the Head of the Central Management of the Indonesian Tennis Association (PP Pelti).
