Chronology Of 6 Debt Collectors Claiming To Be From CIMB Niaga Finance Rampas Outlander Car Owned By Customers
JAKARTA In addition to the 2 debt collectors who claimed to be from PT Mandiri Utama Finance were arrested and 4 colleagues were in pursuit, the Central Java Police also arrested 6 debt collectors who claimed to be from Bank CIMB Niaga Finance.
The six debt collectors became suspects in cases of theft with violence (curas), confiscation or theft with weight (curat) and threats against CIMB Niaga Finance customers.
Dirreskrimsus Polda Jateng Kombes Johanson Ronald Simamora explained the chronology of events that occurred in the courtyard of Bank CIMB, Jalan Pemuda, No. 20, Semarang City.
In detail by Kombes Johanson, the incident occurred on Friday, October 6, 2023, at around 16.00 WIB. The victim, Dewi Suryani (36), a resident of Tanjung Mas, Semarang after leaving the Panawiloso Hospital, on Jalan Dokter Cipto. "Arriving at the parking lot, the victim entered the car. When he was about to close the door, one of the suspects held the car door while claiming to be from CIMB Niaga Finance. Then, the victim was asked to come down. But at that time there was an argument between the victim and the perpetrator. Not long after, members of the Semarang Polrestabes came to appeal for the problem to be resolved at the Semarang Polrestabes.
"Arriving at the Semarang Polrestabes, negotiations were carried out. However, there was no agreement, so the suspects directed the victim to make a settlement at the CIMB Niaga office", said Kombes Johanson.
Furthermore, when the victim arrived at the CIMB Niaga office, there was no agreement. At that time the victim was forced to sign the report on the handover of the vehicle.
"The victim didn't want to and left the CIMB Niaga office with the car parked in a locked condition", he said.
Furthermore, at around 21.30 WIB, a towing vehicle came to CIMB Niaga's office, then one of the suspects ordered the other suspects to take the vehicle up the towing without the victim's permission. The victim's Outlander car was taken by towing to the Smart Bid pool, in Ngaliyan District, Semarang. Precisely in front of Tugu Hospital.

Realizing that he felt he was harmed in this way, the victim reported the incident to the Central Java Regional Police. The report was received with the number LP/B/205/XI/2023/SPKT POLDA CENTRAL JAVA, on November 8, 2023.
The investigation went on until finally the Jatanras Central Java Police Resmob Team managed to arrest 6 debt collectors with a number of evidences, namely 1 unit of a red Mitsubishi Outlander sport number H 1768 HD, 1 unit of towing Mithsubishi Dyna B 9145 EQA, 1 unit of Honda Mobile Putih H 1935 MC as a means for the perpetrators, 1 unit of white Rush car H 1447 JH as the perpetrator's car, 1 bundle of Fidusia documents, 1 flashdisk containing CCTV footage, 9 cellphones belonging to the perpetrator, 1 bundle of documents applying for attractive fees (BT) from PT. The suspects were charged with Article 365 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 368 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 363 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 335 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 Articles and/or Article 56 Articles with a maximum penalty of 9 years in prison.
The 6 debt collectors who became suspects were YM (23) with the status of students from Tlogosari, Semarang, PM (35), a resident of Pedurungan District, Semarang, AB (30) a resident of Tlogosari, Semarang, TBG (46) a resident of Jakarta, ASL (39) a resident of Genuk, MAA (27) a resident of Pedurungan, Semarang.
Police are still pursuing the other 4 debt collectors.
