AMIN National Team: Intolerance Issues Attached To Anies Are Not Relevant

JAKARTA - The National Team for Winning Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar (Timnas AMIN) stated that the issue of intolerance, radicalism and others pinned to the presidential candidate Anies was irrelevant, because there was no evidence at all.

"Identity politics always attacks Mr. Anies in every contest, especially the presidential election which is raised by long-term issues in DKI," said AMIN National Team Spokesperson Billy David Neututumilena as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, December 7.

Billy emphasized that the issue of intolerance and identity politics was never proven, because during Anies' time as Governor of DKI, all circles and religions were given the freedom to worship or celebrate holidays.

He asked the public to assess themselves by proving whether Anies had ever intersected with issues of intolerance and identity politics.

"Hasn't Mr. Anies been intolerant once while leading DKI? Have he ever given facilities or provided flexibility for radical groups to develop? Instead, what he showed was evidence for five years in DKI that many house of worship permits were granted," he said.

According to Billy, what Anies did during his tenure as Governor of DKI became a clear track record.

"Even all religious people can celebrate their holidays in public spaces. What is done is not to ward off," he said.
