The owner of Nour Restour & Shisha, Ahmed Alhoossari who is a citizen of Yemen, shared his story when he tried his luck in Indonesia by opening a culinary business with the characteristics of Arabic and Indian.

Ahmed explained that the reason for choosing to open his first business was the country of Indonesia. Because seeing personal attitudes in Indonesia is very good and smiling.

Especially in opening a business in Indonesia is not complicated. So, he who is a foreign citizen did not hesitate to try his luck in Indonesia.

"Indonesia is a country that is very open minded and easy for procedures to create new businesses. Why? Because Indonesia is now attractive to other countries for investment in Indonesia," Ahmed said.

"So they make the procedure very easy, not complicated. And this country has the highest rate of democracy. Because we thought it would be suitable for businesses in Indonesia. And Indonesia is a targeted country to advance. We are also far away to go to the recession," he continued.

Nevertheless, Ahmed claimed to have experienced obstacles in running his business. This happens because he cannot speak Indonesian.

"The first obstacle is language because I don't really understand Indonesian. Second is culture. I don't know what Indonesian culture is. Third, we are trying to be aggressive on branding," he said.
