Lawyers Suspect There Is An Involvement Of 2 Political Party Leaders In The Firli Peras SYL Case

JAKARTA - Lawyer for the former Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo, Djamaludin Koedoeboen said there was an allegation of involvement of high-ranking political parties in Firli Bahuri's series of extortion against his client. The statement was conveyed in response to the claims of Firli Bahuri's camp which stated that there had never been any communication between the inactive KPK Chairperson with Syahrul Yasin Limpo. "Yes, it is suspected that there will be more than 2 political parties," said Djamaluddin to reporters, Wednesday, December 6.

"So it was admitted by Mr. SYL that the profile picture was the same as Mr. Firli's cellphone. But it turned out that it was not Mr. Firli. It was admitted by Mr. SYL himself. The number is different which Mr. Firli has been using," said Ian. In the case of alleged extortion, Firli Bahuri, who has the status of a suspect, is charged with Article 12e, 12B or Article 11 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the eradication of corruption in conjunction with Article 65 of the Criminal Code. Thus, it is threatened with life imprisonment.
