Central Java Bawaslu Starts Opening Recruitment 117,299 TPS Officers For The 2024 Election
JATENG - The General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) throughout Central Java Province (Central Java) opened the recruitment of 117,299 polling officers (TPS) for the 2024 General Election.
"The TPS supervisory officer that we recruited and passed the selection will oversee the voting stages at the TPS-TPS," said Central Java Bawaslu member Rofiuddin in Semarang, Monday, December 4, as reported by Antara.
He explained that the TPS supervisors who would be recruited were in accordance with the number of TPS for the 2024 General Election in Central Java Province.
"Later on, one TPS will be supervised by a supervisor," he said.
Rofiuddin added that the TPS supervisor was recruited no later than 23 days before the voting day and was disbanded no later than seven days after the voting day.
Based on the Election Law, which stipulates that the TPS supervisor is the District Election Supervisory Committee.
Bawaslu at all levels will announce the formation of a TPS supervisor with an open selection process.
"We hope that Indonesian citizens who meet the requirements to become TPS supervisors will register themselves," he said.

As stated in the Election Law, several TPS supervisory requirements, including Indonesian citizens, aged at least 21 years during registration, loyal to Pancasila as the basis of the state, the 1945 Constitution, the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, and the ideals of the Proclamation on August 17, 1945.
In addition, it has integrity, a strong personality, honest, and fair personality, has capabilities and expertise related to the implementation of elections, state administration, parties, and election supervision, the lowest education of high school (SMA) or equivalent.
Other requirements are able to be physically, mentally, and free from narcotics abuse, and have never been sentenced to prison based on a court decision that has obtained permanent legal force for committing a crime that is threatened with imprisonment of five years or more, willing to work full time as evidenced by a statement letter; not in marriage with fellow election organizers and others.
"There are several other requirements as stated in the electoral law. People who meet the requirements are welcome to register," said Rofiuddin, adding that registration provisions would be announced through the Central Java Bawaslu and district/city Bawaslu mass media.
