Three Villages In Central Lombok Flood
PRAYA - Dozens of houses in three villages in Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province were flooded after heavy rains fell on the area.
"The number of houses affected by the flood reached dozens," said Head of Public Relations of the Central Lombok Police, Iptu Hariono, as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, November 30.
He said the floods due to high or heavy rainfall in the three villages began to fall in the afternoon, resulting in overflowing river flows in the three villages.
"For the location, the flood in the Pungkang River is bordering Banyu Urip Village with Kateng Village, West Praya District and in the Kuning Sampi Hamlet, Kabul Village, Southwest Praya District," he said.
The flood that submerged people's houses reached 10 centimeters along the riverbanks in the three villages.
It was his party who received the information, immediately dispatched the Central Lombok Police Disaster Preparedness Team to deal with the waste that caused the natural disaster.

His party has also coordinated with the local village government as well as gave an appeal and helped evacuate residents affected by flooding around the river.
"For the time being, they are taking refuge in a safe place and securing valuables belonging to flood victims to avoid further flooding in the river," he said.
