Here's The Temporary Contents Of The Circular Of The Minister Of Communication And Informatics Regarding Ethical Guidelines For AI
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology has completed the Focus Group Discussion (FGD), with relevant stakeholders to discuss the Circular of the Minister of Communication and Information regarding Guidelines for Artificial Intelligence Ethics.
FGD today which was attended by representatives of 43 relevant stakeholders took place productively. Discussions divided into two sessions managed to capture the need for AI governance at the national level which took into account the risk of utilizing AI from the public and private sectors," said Deputy Minister of Communications and Informatics Nezar Patria at a press conference on Monday, November 27 in Jakarta.
The first session discussed issues related to the utilization and ethical values of artificial intelligence, and the second session discussed issues related to the implementation and responsibility of artificial intelligence.

The contents of this provisional Circular will at least appeal to business actors to pay attention to the ethical value of artificial intelligence which includes:
Today's FGD, we hope to be able to spark AI governance discussions in various elements of society. The input we received today will certainly be our consideration in formulating policies," said Nezar further.

In the near future, the Ministry of Communication and Informatics will also hold an open seminar to discuss AI and the Circular.
"In the future, we need to start thinking about regulations that are legally binding that are oriented towards protecting users and the wider community (safety and security), safe and secure, so that we can empower the optimization of AI utilization to create a Connected, More Digital, More Advanced Indonesia," he said.
Aries Kusdaryono, Director of Information Application Governance at the Ministry of Communication and Informatics, also added that the results of this discussion will collect first, and then a finalist will be carried out and released by Kominfo.
"We will collect first related to the direct input that was in this FGD. Then later we will finalize and release it," concluded Aries.
