Fraudster Jessica Iskandar Arrives In Indonesia After Being Arrested By Police In Thailand
TANGERANG - Fugitive in cases of fraud and embezzlement of car rentals, Christopher Steffanus Budianto alias Steven arrived at Soekarno Hatta Airport, Tuesday night, November 21. After arriving, he was immediately taken to Polda Metro Jaya for further action.
Steven was arrested by the police in Bangkok, Thailand on Monday, November 20, yesterday.
Kabagjatinter Set NCB Police Public Relations Division Kombes Audie S Latuheru said that his party had paid special attention to cases, especially for suspects or potential suspects who fled abroad.
Therefore, after being asked for help by Polda Metro Jaya, they immediately traced Christopher, who was detected as leaving Indonesia.
"Tracking the person concerned out of Indonesia in May but because he traveled in several countries so that coordination and so on did take a long time," said Audie to reporters at Soekarno Hatta Airport, Kora Tangerang.
Audie explained that in the process the Div Hubinter Polri detected the perpetrators in Bangkok, Thailand, until they succeeded in making arrests. Audie said that diplomacy between the Indonesian Police and Thailand was also well established.
"Then we went through the police to police process and finally managed to catch the person concerned and we picked him up with the PMJ Crime," he said.
"It is easier for us to coordinate to handle cases, especially after a meeting in Labuan Bajo for several months," he continued.
Regarding the length of arrests, said Audie, the perpetrators often moved from country to country for about 1.5 years the perpetrators were finally arrested in Thailand.
"We did a search, the Div Hubinter Polri tracked the person concerned out of Indonesia in May. Only then did we look for him to come out, it turned out that he went to several countries which made it take time to catch him," he said.

Previously it was reported that the Head of the National Police's Hubinter Division, Inspector General Krishna Murti, said Steven was arrested in Thailand, Monday, November 20. The arrest of this fugitive was the result of a collaboration with the Thai Police.
Steven was brought to Indonesia this afternoon. Currently, the administrative completion process is still being carried out.
It is estimated that this afternoon or evening, Steven will arrive in the country.
"It will be noon flying from Bangkok," said Krishna.
Steven will be immediately handed over to Polda Metro Jaya. That way it can speed up the handling of the case.
