Nearly Hundreds Of Witnesses And Experts Have Been Examined To Find SYL Extortion Suspects
The investigation into the alleged extortion case carried out by the leadership of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) against the former Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo or SYL, continues. To date, 99 witnesses and experts have been questioned to reveal the suspect in the case.
"There have been examinations of 91 witnesses and 8 experts," said Director of Special Criminal Investigation of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak, to reporters quoted on Friday, November 17.
Special expert examinations include four criminal law experts, one procedural law expert, one expert or micro expression expert. Then, one digital forensic expert, and one multimedia expert.
Meanwhile, for witnesses who have been questioned, among others, Syahrul Yasin Limpo, former aide to Firli Bahuri, Kevin Egananta. Then there is the Semarang Police Chief Kombes Pol Irwan Anwar, Director of Dumas KPK Tomi Murtomo, as well as two former KPK leaders Saut Situmorang and M Jasin.
Then, the Director of Agricultural Equipment and Machinery of the Ministry of Agriculture Muhammad Hatta.
Most recently, Firli Bahuri was again questioned on Thursday, November 16. The examination is an addition from the previous one.
Although nearly a hundred witnesses have been examined, investigators have not planned to carry out the case title process.
Joint investigators from the Directorate of Corruption Crimes at Bareskrim and the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation of the Metro Jaya Police will actually carry out consolidation. The goal is to determine the next investigation steps. This is solely to find the suspect.

Meanwhile, at this stage of investigation, it is believed that there was a criminal offense in Article 12 letter e, Article 12 letter B and or Article 11 of the Corruption Crime Act in conjunction with Article 65 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.
