Jokowi Alludes To The Red Economy At Stanford University, USA
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo had spoken about his reason for wearing a red tie while giving a public lecture at Stanford University, in California, United States.

President Widodo then said he also asked about the colors identical to Stanford University, which turned out to be red.
"Then I ask again, what are booth identical colors? (What color is Stanford's identity?). Answered'red sir (red sir)'.That's why I planned to wear a red tie today. Do I like a member of Stanford family now? (That's why I decided to wear a red tie. Do I look like a Stanford family now?)," asked Joko Widodo to applause from Stanford University.
The president then stated that for him wearing a red tie according to the identical color of Stanford University is very important because he wants to unite or be connected to Stanford University's smart, young and diligent civitas.
"That is the importance of connecting fellow humans. Likewise with being connected to nature and we know that the world is sick, changing the energy transition climate is a very, very urgent issue. But the question is whether countries in the world have a commitment to take responsibility and take a role?" he said.
