Kabaharkam: Election TPS Security Pattern Adjusted To Insecurity Level
Head of the National Police's Security Maintenance Agency (Kabaharkam) Komjen Fadil Imran said the pattern of securing polling stations (TPS) in the 2024 General Election adjusted the level of vulnerability, regional characteristics and the number of personnel.
"With the consideration of the head of the regional unit which is divided into the category of underprone TPS, vulnerable TPS, very vulnerable TPS, TPS in Papua and West Papua that use a noken system, and TPS in a special location," said Fadil in a joint working meeting with Commission III of the DPR., Wednesday, November 15.
He also said that the Polri-implemented TPS security pattern in the country applies the concept of a body system for members who carry out their duties to be monitored and secured by other members with weapons.
"At least the involvement of security strengthening is carried out by two personnel as a body system concept," he said.
Kabaharkam said that the security of the TPS in the 2024 General Election which was abroad was divided into two responsibility units (Satgas) for security, namely the Task Force I and Task Force II areas, each consisting of 12 overseas election committees (PPLN).
With the distribution of the priority three-scale security pattern, namely Priority I for countries with more than 50,000 voters and no state representative offices, Priority II for countries with voters between 10,000 to 75,000, and Priority III for countries with less than 10,000 voters.
The National Police, said Fadil, carried out security against the distribution of logistics or election ballots with a security pattern that considered vulnerabilities in each stage of distribution of each region.

In addition, the National Police has also carried out security against important offices and the residence of presidential candidates (candidates) and vice presidential candidates (cawapres) for the 2024 presidential election by coordinating with local security officers.
"Including monitoring the surrounding situation, and access in and out by sterilizing guard and patrol arrangements," he said.
