Press Wild Racing, Junior High School Students In Pekanbaru Are Prohibited From Bringing Motorcycles To School

RIAU - Pekanbaru City Education Office (Disdik) prohibits junior high school students from bringing motorbikes to school. This effort is to minimize the rise of illegal racing.

Head of Pekanbaru City Education and Education Office, Abdul Jamal, said the ban was contained in a circular that had been forwarded to all junior high schools in Pekanbaru.

"Therefore, we urge you not to bring vehicles, because they are not allowed. We also urge you to go to school to be reminded of students, and if necessary, tell parents. It is better for the children to walk, or take public transportation," he said in Pekanbaru, Riau, Tuesday, November 14, confiscated by Antara.

This step is also a reminder that the age of junior high school does not yet have a driving license.

In addition, Abdul appealed to the school to monitor the location of the storage or parking around the school.

"The ban on bringing this motorbike is also for learning, that children are emotionally unable to carry their own vehicles, because this junior high school is automatically not yet 17 years old, which means it is clearly prohibited," he said.

Then to his parents, Jamal asked to participate in monitoring children's associations outside the school. Because the illegal racing is done outside of school hours, which is at night.

To minimize illegal racing, continued Jamal, his party will also cooperate with the Pekanbaru Resort Police. This is what he said in accordance with the direction of Pekanbaru Mayor Muflihun.

"Later we will give time to the local police or police sector to educate at school, if possible invite parents. Those are some of the efforts we are making to minimize illegal racing," he said.
