Ras Muhamad Presents Different Nuances On New Album, Kaleidoscope Vol.1
JAKARTA - Ras Muhamad released a new album titled Kaleidoscope Vol.1 on October 29 yesterday, coinciding with his 41st birthday celebration.
With his evolution from reggae singer to music producer and cross-genre songwriter, Ras Muhamad presents a different exploration. There is an adventure of nuances that has actually been attached to him for a long time.
"Kaleidoscope Vol. 1 is a stage and evolution in which Ras Muhamad sees the project as a combination of pop music ingredients that are pitted with the spirit of metal and punk attitude in the hip hop background," said Ras Muhamad in his statement, Tuesday, October 31.
In terms of music, Kaleidoscope Vol. 1 is dominated by guitar playing, where many songs are written and played by Ras Muhamad himself.
Various guitar colors and techniques adorn this album, ranging from guitarle, acoustic guitar, electric guitar and also a guitar string with distortions.
This album has also become so personal for Ras Muhamad. The reason is, he raised mental health issues, issues that have long been of concern.

Work on Kaleidoscope Vol. 1 by Ras Muhamad was released through Black Coral Music, his independent label. This album is worked on for approximately two years and is inspired by personal stories, experiences of love, vulnerability, darkness, and also the pandemic.
Meanwhile, several songs from the latest albums, such as Like Summer and Sand Castle, have been released by Ras Muhamad some time ago as a single.
Then, Radio Silence became the latest single released to coincide with the album Kaleidoscope Vol. 1.
