Police Arrest Targeted Methamphetamine Dealers In Kapuas Hulu Village, West Kalimantan
The KapUAS HULU - Narcotics Investigation Unit of the Kapuas Hulu Police, West Kalimantan arrested a man with the initials HA suspected of being a drug dealer of methamphetamine type who had penetrated the sub-district and village levels in the area. "We often get information from the public about the rampant drug trafficking, especially in Mentebah District and a dealer we have arrested, but we do not rule out other possibilities," said Head of the Kapuas Hulu Police Narcotics Investigation Unit IPTU Jamali, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, October 26. According to Jamali, the suspect HP was arrested in the White River Hamlet of Tekalong Village, Mentbah District, Kapuas Hulu Regency accompanied by evidence of two plastic clip bags suspected of methamphetamine-type drugs that were planned to be sold in the area. The suspect came from the Pinyuh River, Mempawah Regency. Jamali said that when he was arrested and conducted a search of police officers found drugs of methamphetamine weighing approximately 42.05 grams, one piece of shabu (bong) suction device, one digital scale and a number of other supporting evidence. "Currently, the suspect is still under investigation for further legal proceedings," said Jamali.

Regarding drug trafficking that has spread to the village or remote level in Kapuas Hulu, Jamali invites all communities and other related parties to jointly increase vigilance and eradicate drug trafficking. "We hope that the community will proactively report to the nearest police officers if they see or know of drug trafficking, because of the drugs of our common enemy which we must fight together," Jamali said.
