Mini Bus Allegedly Carrying Illegal Fuel Burns In Kuala Pesisir Aceh

SUKA MAKMUE - Nagan Raya Resort Police, Aceh Province, found irregularities in a fire that scorched a Toyota Innova minibus while filling fuel at a Suak Puntong gas station, Kuala Pesisir District, last Sunday. Police suspect the incident was related to irregularities in subsidized fuel.

"The results of the temporary investigation, it is suspected that a pump engine was found in a burning car," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Nagan Raya Police, Aceh, Ipda Erick Andila to ANTARA in Nagan Raya, Wednesday, October 25.

In addition, said Erick, based on the results of information obtained from a number of witnesses at the Nagan Raya gas station location, before the incident occurred, the suspected burning vehicle heard the sound of a suction engine from the car with police number BL 1843 JW.

He also admitted that currently police personnel in Nagan Raya are still working to uncover the case, so that it becomes clear.

His party admitted that they could not provide further information, because until now the police are still working to reveal the facts that are happening in the field.

Previously, the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Nagan Raya Police, Aceh, Iptu Winarto, said that the fire case that hit a Toyota Innova minibus at the Suak Puntong gas station, Kuala Pesisir District, local district was still being investigated.

He said a Toyota Innova minibus passenger was reported to have suffered burns.

The victim, who suffered burns, was named Edi (45 years old), registered as a resident of Darul Makmur District, Nagan Raya Regency, Aceh Province.

"The victim suffered minor burns, and has received medical treatment at the Sultan Iskandar Muda Regional General Hospital (RSUD), Nagan Raya Regency," said Iptu Winarto.

He said the fire case was still under investigation by the police, to determine the real cause.
