His Adjutant Was Withdrawn By The Police, Firli Is Now Escorted By TNI Members

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Firli Bahuri is now escorted by members of the TNI after his aide was withdrawn to his unit at the Police.

"For these (supervisory, red) as well as security in the office environment, the KPK is currently receiving additional support from the TNI Puspom," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters in a written statement quoted on Thursday, October 26.

The existence of escort from the TNI, continued Ali, is a follow-up to a memorandum of understanding that has been signed by two parties.

"The support of personnel from various ministries and institutions is of course a form of commitment to its support for efforts to eradicate corruption by the KPK," he said.

Meanwhile, regarding the withdrawal of Firli's aide from the police, Ali said this was normal. Because members of the National Police could get assignments elsewhere.

"It is true that the KPK chairman's aide has been withdrawn to the National Police as the original agency, of course, to continue or carry out other tasks," said Ali.

As previously reported, the National Police withdrew Kevin Egananta to return to duty at the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police. Kevin is known to be an Aide-de-camp (ADC) or an aide to the Chairman of the KPK Firli Bahuri.

"I'm already in the Criminal Investigation Department," Kevin told reporters at the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police, Tuesday, October 24.

However, Kevin kept his mouth shut when he was asked when he returned to work at the Criminal Investigation Unit. It is only emphasized if he is no longer Firli Bahuri's aide.

"Yes, I have. I was pulled at the Criminal Investigation Unit," he said.
