Celebrating 100th Anniversary, BMW Motorrad Opens Museum in Berlin
JAKARTA- BMW Motorrad marked its 100th anniversary with the opening of a museum called 'BMW Motorrad Welt' (BMW Motorcycle World) in Berlin.
The opening of this museum coincided with the first launch of the R32 model, or the first motorbike launched by BMW in 1923.
"When we celebrate 100 years of BMW Motorrad, of course, we also celebrate 100 years of German industrial history, 100 years of development and innovation, 100 years of global competition," said the guest of honor, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, quoted on the Motorcycle News page, Wednesday, October 18.
Interestingly, the new museum is located near the entrance to the BMW motorbike factory in West Berlin, where most of the motorbikes have been made since 1969.

When visiting this place, visitors will be presented with various facilities, such as cafes, lounges and large areas that present old and new products, as well as the history of BMW until now.
"I am delighted that with the opening of Motorrad Welt today, BMW also allows many curious people to find out what is being made in Berlin," he added.
On this occasion, several important people such as the Mayor of Berlin and several high-ranking BMW executives were also present. In the future, this new facility will become the 'center' of BMW Motorrad activities, such as factory tours and other activities for the general public.
