Luciano Spalletti Disappointed, Italy Should Not Lose To England
JAKARTA - Italy came to Wembley Stadium to beat England as he did in the Euro 2020 final. What happened was that Italy was even killed 3-1 in the Euro 2024 qualifying Group C duel, Wednesday, October 18 in the morning WIB. The results that disappointed coach Luciano Spalletti because Italy did not deserve to lose to England.
Italy did come with confidence. They showed their best performance when they beat Malta 4-0 in the previous qualifying match.

According to Spalletttti, Italy should not have conceded two goals from Rashford and Kane. However, he admits that Italy is struggling with the speed and physicality of England players.

"The team didn't deserve to concede two goals. It just had to be admitted that England really made it difficult for us," said Spalletti.
"This is certainly disappointing because we lost in this way. We learned a lot from this defeat and have to improve ourselves so that we can be better against physical duels," said the former Napoli coach.
"We actually played well throughout the match. We also have the quality to face any team," he said again.
The defeat to England made Italy down the rankings. Now, Italy is in third place with 10 points. Three points adrift of Ukraine which rose to second place after winning 3-1 over Malta.
However, Ukraine is just finishing one more game against Italy. Meanwhile, Italy still has two games.
Before being visited by Ukraine, they won the match against North Macedonia to keep their chances of qualifying for Germany.
