Manchester United Defender Harry Maguire, Diminati AC Milan
JAKARTA - Manchester United defender Harry Maguire is said to be in demand from several Serie A clubs, including AC Milan. The 30-year-old is often associated with a move from Old Trafford after taking part in the hierarchy of players under manager Erik ten Hag.
Raphael Varane, Leandro Martinez, and Victor Lindelof were more often selected in midfield than Maguire, who only started eight Premier League games last season.
After losing captainship last summer, Maguire was linked with a move to West Ham United, both permanently and on loan, but the move to London didn't materialize.
Maguire has since only started two of Man United's 11 matches in all competitions this season. He has also recently revealed the possibility of a move if he continues to play "once every month."
West Ham are said to be still interested in Maguire, but they may face competition to get it, as talkSPORT reports AC Milan is one of several Serie A clubs to closely monitor the situation of this defender.
Maguire could follow in the footsteps of former Red Devils defender Chris Smalling, who has revived his career in Italy with AS Roma after taking part in a hierarchy in the final stages of his career at Old Trafford.
Smalling isn't the only England player to play in Italy, as Tammy Abraham also represents AS Roma, while Fikayo Tomori and Ruben Loftus-Cheek play together at Milan.

Since leaving Chelsea in 2021, Tomori has become a regular on the Rossoneri and has made a total of 116 appearances in all competitions, including 45 last season.
Meanwhile, Loftus-Cheek, who moved from Stamford Bridge to San Siro in the summer, has made eight appearances in midfield, including five starters in Serie A.
It remains to be seen whether Maguire, who has a two-year contract left with Man United, is interested in moving overseas at the current stage of his career.
Speculation about Maguire's future comes as news that the Red Devils are exploring the market for a new centre-back.
Sporting Lisbon's Goncalo Inacio is believed to be one of their main targets ahead of the New Year, although Maguire's future may affect whether United step up their efforts to get the 22-year-old.
Crystal Palace's Marc Guehi has also emerged as a possible target for the Red Devils. Meanwhile, names like Antonio Silva of Benfica, Nice's Jean-Clair Todibo, and Bayer Leverkusen'sjadjat also attributed to his move to Manchester. Meanwhile, Maguire's teammate Lindelof has expressed his desire to stay at Man United and claims that it is likely that the club will extend his contract with a one-year option.
