Scenario 'Massa Does Not Accept The Results Of The 2024 Election Calculation' Of The South Jakarta Police Anticipating Mass Riots

JAKARTA Preparations for the 2024 election, the South Jakarta Metro Police held a demonstration security simulation to anticipate disturbances in public security and order.

The simulation scenario demonstrated a riot of mass throwing the local General Election Commission (KPU) office as an expression of dissatisfaction with vote count results.

Officers were overwhelmed while guarding the demonstration so that Brimob troops were deployed. Several people were arrested in the aftermath of the demonstration.

"Officers from the South Jakarta Metro Police who were tasked with carrying out security were overwhelmed and asked for help from the Brimob Huru Hara (PHH) Management Force. Several people were arrested, namely corlap and provocateurs," he said.

Ade Ary added that it is important to carry out simulations to anticipate disturbances in public security and order during the 2024 General Election. His party coordinated with the three pillars to carry out security.

Ade Ary asked the people of South Jakarta (Jaksel) to help maintain security and convey their aspirations in accordance with the mechanisms that apply before or during the election.

There is a mechanism for conveying aspirations that can be taken if the public is not satisfied with the election results. "Starting from the city level to the Constitutional Court. Complaints related to election crimes can be reported to the Integrated Law Enforcement Center (Gakkumdu) of South Jakarta City," he said.

In the simulation, 300 joint personnel from the Polres, Polsek, Brimob, Kodim, Satpol Pol PP, firefighters (damkar) and the Transportation Service (Dishub), leaders of KPU and Bawaslu South Jakarta as well as community leaders.
