Ever Uploaded A Photo With Anies Baswedan, This DKI ASN Is Afraid To Be Considered Not Neutral Ahead Of The Election
JAKARTA - A state civil servant (ASN) in DKI Jakarta admitted that he was worried that he would not be neutral and seemed to support certain presidential candidates ahead of the 2024 General Election.
The reason is, the ASN once uploaded a photo with Anies Baswedan while serving as Governor of DKI Jakarta on his personal social media account.
This concern was expressed to the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono in the Sepap Episode 15 Coffee Podcast with the topic Towards Jakarta Global City which was broadcast virtually on the DKI Jakarta Provincial BPKD YouTube account.
"I want to confirm the issue of ASN neutrality, especially in DKI. Please allow us, sir, we used to take fun pictures with the previous governor who happened to be a presidential candidate," said the ASN on Thursday, October 12.
On this matter, the ASN admitted that they wanted to delete a photo with Anies for fear of violating the neutrality of ASN.
"I want to delete it from my social media, I'm afraid that later Mr. Acting will see, how come there are still photos with this, yes. Please confirm it," he continued.
In response to this, Heru Budi views old ASN photos with regional heads who are now election participants such as Anies do not need to be deleted. The ASN only needs to include a description of the photo date together.
"You don't have to delete it. Just add a date. Add this photo date to be photographed on that date. Later when deleted, I think I told you to delete it. Therefore, be careful in the future. It's not that I don't allow it, but the rules of the ASN Law are like that," said Heru.

On the one hand, Heru also warned ASN within the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to be wise in using social media (medsos).
This is because Heru said that the uploads of ASN on social media were monitored by intelligence teams such as the TNI Strategic Intelligence Agency (Bais), the State Intelligence Agency (BIN), the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN), to the Directorate of Cyber Crime, Bareskrim Polri.
"We are all given directions, ASN rules. So, be careful using social media because BAIS, BIN, BSSN, Polri Headquarters have cyber patrols," explained Heru.
Ahead of the 2024 General Election, Heru also banned the ranks of ASN from showing their partisanship in certain political contestation candidates, especially on social media.
"For example, we ASN, talking about what is not on social media, continue to support other parties. It can be called cyber patrols, it must be caught. We are ASN, we must be neutral," said Heru.
