The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Council Will Be Strictly Sanctioned If Proven Guilty
JAKARTA - The KPK Supervisory Board (Dewas) continues to collect evidence related to public reports regarding the alleged extortion of former Agriculture Minister Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL).
Regarding Syahrul Yasin Limpo's report reporting the alleged extortion of KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri, the KPK Supervisory Board will conduct an ethics trial against the KPK leader.
"We will gather information first. We are currently in the process of being investigated by the Regional Police," said the chairman of the KPK Supervisory Board, Tumpak Hatorangan Panggabean, Monday, October 9.
Furthermore, if found guilty in a report regarding extortion related to corruption investigations at the Ministry of Agriculture, the KPK Supervisory Board will apply strict sanctions in the form of dismissal.
In addition to public reports, the Supervisory Board also continues to collect evidence and examine the veracity of this report. They just received the report last Friday.
"We will study it first, collect as much information as possible. If you have information, I will also give it, but don't just that information. If that's all, everyone already knows," said Tumpak.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the KPK, Firli Bahuri, was reported to the KPK Council regarding a photo of his meeting with the former Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL). This report is being investigated by Dewas.
Previously, Firli Bahuri revealed that the meeting took place in March 2022, before the process of investigating corruption cases at the Ministry of Agriculture began in January 2023.
