Elon Musk Hopes SpaceX's Starship Doesn't Explode Again During Launch
JAKARTA SpaceX CEO Elon Musk talked about Starship, a combination of reusable rockets and aircraft. Musk, at the International Astronautical Congress (IAC), hopes that Starship won't explode again.
Reporting fromSpace, Musk admitted that he did not want to expect more on this Starship flight. The reason is, Starship exploded a few minutes after its launch. This incident occurred last April.
Despite having experienced an unexpected incident, SpaceX has made repairs to the plane. What's more, Starship was assigned by the United States Aeronautics and Space Agency (NASA) to land the Artemis 3 team to the moon in 2025.
Unfortunately, SpaceX seems slow in preparing for Starship over the past few months. They are getting serious attention from NASA in order to keep the Artemis 3 mission going as planned.
SpaceX still has time to prepare for Starship according to NASA guidelines. If in the end they fail to comply with predetermined guidelines, NASA will delay human landing on the moon until the Artemis 4 mission.

So far, Starship is said to be ready to launch by SpaceX. However, this readiness was denied by the United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) because SpaceX had not yet completed a number of rules regarding the issue of the first Starship flight.
Musk is confident enough with the latest version of Starship capabilities. The aircraft with a large weight is said to be capable of generating about twice the thrust of the aircraft carrying a number of astronauts on Apollo missions in the 1960s and 1970s.
Starship is currently capable of generating thrust of up to 16 million pounds on takeoff. However, SpaceX is still developing this aircraft so that Starship is expected to be able to generate 20 million pounds in the near future.
