Add Gold And Bronze On Tuesday, The Indonesian Contingent Again Snatched In The 12th Position Of The 2023 Asian Games Medal Standings
JAKARTA - The Indonesian contingent received two additional gold medals and two bronze medals at the 2023 Asian Games, Tuesday, October 3 yesterday. In total, the Red and White team has collected six gold, three silver, and 13 bronze.
This result places Indonesia ranked 12th in the medal standings after previously being one strip below it.

An additional four medals for the Indonesian contingent on Tuesday were presented from the weightlifting and rock climbing branches.
Indonesian lifter Rahmat Erwin Abdullah presented a 73kg weightlifting gold medal after recording a total accumulated lift of 359 kilograms.
In the match held at the Xiaoshan Sports Center Gymnasium, Hangzhou, Rahmat recorded the best batch for a snatch weighing 158 kilograms, and the best lift clean and jerk weighing 201 kilograms.
Rahmat's clean and jerk force weighing 201 kilograms also broke the Asian Games record.
This is the first medal in weightlifting at the 2022 Asian Games, after previously other lifters from Indonesia failed to compete to win medals.
The silver medal fell to Wichuma Weeraphon from Thailand with a total force of 351 kilograms, while the bronze medal belonged to Kumthaek Oh from North Korea with the best total force of 334 kilograms.
From the rock climbing branch, Desak Made Rita Kusuma Dewi won the gold medal in the women's speed number for Indonesia in the match which took place at the Shaoxing Keihao Yangshan Sport Climbing Center.
Urging to have a tight final match against Deng Lijuan before recording a time of 6.364 seconds on track A, which beat 6.435 seconds belonging to the Asian record-holder Chinese representative.
Before undergoing the final round, Desak broke the Asian Games record after recording a time of 6,600 seconds in the qualifying round, beating Aries Susanti Rahayu's previous record of 7.61 seconds at the 2018 Jakarta-Palembang Asian Games.
In the same number, other Indonesian athletes Rajiah Sallsabillah secured a bronze medal with 6.879 seconds, beating another Chinese representative Niu Di who failed to finish the race.
Still from rock climbing, Indonesian athlete Veddriq Leonardo won a bronze medal in the men's speed number after passing a tight and drama-filled final at the Shaoxing Keqiao Yangshan Sport Climbing Center.
Veddriq, who is the world record holder and Asia, recorded 4.955 seconds to beat Chinese representative Wu Peng (5.119 seconds) in the final for third place.
Veddriq's record also improves the Asian Games record which he set in the qualifying round of 4.978 seconds.
Another athlete from Indonesia, Kiromal Katibin died early after slipping in the quarter-finals and was unable to catch the seed Long Jinbao who almost broke the five-second limit, although it has not been able to match Veddriq's best record in Hangzhou.

From the rowing branch, the pair Riska Andriyani and Nur Meni almost contributed a bronze medal for Indonesia from the women's double 200 meters rowing number. However, Riska and Nur had to settle for finishing in fourth place with a time of 48.347 seconds. They were 4.051 seconds adrift of the winner, namely the Chinese pair Wenjun Lin and Changwen Shuai.
The pair Wenjun/Changwen are entitled to a gold medal after posting the fastest time of 44,296 seconds. Riska was the winner of the 200-meter singles silver medal at the 2018 Asian Games, while when they paired with Nur at the 2018 Asian Games in the 200-meter doubles, they won a bronze medal.
Meanwhile, at the Asian Games this time, the rowing sport failed to get a single medal.
Meanwhile, from the badminton branch which is also Indonesia's mainstay, the men's singles Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, the women's singles Gregoria Mariska Tunjung and Putri Kusuma Wardhani, the women's doubles Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma/Amalia Cahaya Pratiwi and Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti, all advanced to the round of 16.
