Indonesian Esports Team PUBG Mobile Advances To The 2022 Asian Games Grand Final
JAKARTA - The Indonesian esports national team number PUBG Mobile won a place in the Grand Final round after struggling for four sets in the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games quarter-final match, Saturday, September 30.
In the match which took place at the China Hangzhou Esports Center, the PUBG Mobile national team took second place in Group B by winning an overall time of 52 minutes and 21 seconds. "We are very proud of the high struggle and enthusiasm shown by the Indonesian esports national team number PUBG Mobile during today's match. We are certainly ready to mobilize our maximum ability to win medals," said Deputy Head coach of the Indonesian National Esports Team, Richard Permana, in an official statement from PB ESI in Jakarta.
Meanwhile, the host, China, won first place with a total time of 50 minutes and 16 seconds.
Thailand won third and fourth place with an overall time of 55 minutes 36 seconds, and Hong Kong with 64 minutes.
PUBG Mobile Indonesia athlete Vebriyano Akbar Maulana said he was proud of the success of the team that took place in the Grand Final round.Vebriyano added that the 19th Asian Games was the first international competition he participated in.
With this, the PUBG Mobile Indonesia national team will face South Korea, Taiwan, and China in the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games Grand Final which will take place on Sunday, October 1 at 18.00 WIB.

The PUBG Mobile national team athletes who will compete tomorrow are Fajar Octa Ramadhan, Alan Raynold Kumaseh, TM Kausar, Juventino Ryan Jeremy Rolos, and Vebryano Akbar Maulana.
However, the positive results were not followed by the Indonesian esports national team number DOTA2, which failed to reach the quarter-finals after occupying second place in the Group B match. In the first match, the DOTA2 national team had to admit Thailand's advantage with a final score of 0-1. In the second match, the DOTA2 national team managed to beat Hong Kong with a final score of 1-0.
Despite winning one win and one defeat, the Indonesian DOTA2 team could not proceed to the next round due to the group stage match using the Best of 1 system.
