Police Find 165 Kg Of Methamphetamine In Meulaboh, West Aceh, 2 Fishermen Arrested
MEULABOH - Police officers from Polda Metro Jaya arrested two fishermen in Meureubo District, West Aceh Regency, along with 165 kilograms of evidence of methamphetamine.
"It's true, there was one of our residents who was arrested by the police. His name is Syarifuddin, he is around 50 years old," said Village Head (Keuchik) Ujong Drien, Meureubo District, West Aceh Regency, Hasbi, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, September 27.
Hasbi said that during the arrest, the police also found about 165 kilograms suspected of being methamphetamine, wrapped in green tea packaging.
The discovery of about 165 kilograms of methamphetamine was found from the house of Syarifuddin, a resident of Ujong Drien Village, Meureubo District, West Aceh Regency.
During the arrest, another resident named Nasrullah (36 years) was also arrested, a resident of Meureubo Village, Meureubo District, West Aceh Regency.
Keuchik Hasbi said that during the arrest process, many residents in his village were also witnessed.
The two residents who were arrested were then taken using Hi-Ace public transportation, along with about 165 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine by police personnel dressed as thugs.
Hasbi said the house of his residents found by the methamphetamine was a fisherman.
"We are also surprised by this arrest," said Hasbi.
