Source Of Eka Hospital Explosion: MRI Over Heat Tool
JAKARTA - The explosion occurred at Eka Hospital, Serpong, South Tangerang. The National Police said the source of the explosion was thought to have come from the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) device.
"Yes, for the explosion in Serpong, the confirmation with the Metro Police was an overheated MRI device," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Shandi Nugroho, Thursday, September 21.
The MRI device that caused the explosion was in the Radiology Room.
Despite exploding and causing panic, Shandi said that he did not cause any casualties and injuries. In fact, currently, hospital activities are in normal condition.
"Currently the hospital is still running, not constrained by operational activities," said Shandi.

The National Police Forensic Laboratory Center (Puslabfor) and Yim Gegana had visited the hospital to find out the cause of the explosion.
