Promoting New EP, Saturday Night Karaoke Holds Tour In Japan
JAKARTA - Saturday Night Karaoke, the punk rock band from Bandung is again holding a tour in Japan. This tour was carried out in order to promote the EP More Chords, Better Points.
Meanwhile, the EP was released in vinyl 7" format by their label in Japan, I Hate Smoke Records.
This Japanese tour is the last part of the More Places series, Better Points Asia Tour 2023, which has been going on since last August.
Japan was chosen as the location for the final tour because the personnel already felt Japan was the second home for them.
Meanwhile, the tour in October will be the third tour of Saturday Night Karaoke in Japan. Previously, they had toured in 2017 and 2019.
"It's no secret that Japan is indeed our second home as a band. Since the release of the first album in 2015, the request to play in Japan has been included in our email a lot," said Prabu (guitar and vocals) in his statement, Tuesday, September 19.
"So, when we toured there in 2017 and 2019, everything always felt exciting and familiar. Japan always accepts us and our work as it is and is expressive," he added.
There are two things to be offered on this tour. Prabu said that their performances would also be filled with a varied line-up.
Not only that, the final stage of Saturday Night Karaoke on this tour will be held at an underground music festival in Tokyo, Matsuri.
