California Sheriff's Deputy Shot Dead In His Patrol Car, There Is A Prize Of IDR 3.8 Billion For Information Of Perpetrators
JAKARTA - Authorities provided a reward of 250,000 US dollars (IDR 3,843,162,500), for anyone who could provide information that could help them arrest the shooting suspect to death Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy on Sunday.
Deputy Ryan Clinkunbroomer (30) was shot late Saturday while he was sitting in his patrol car at a red light outside the Palmdale City Sheriff's Office, about 55 miles (90 km) northeast of Los Angeles, United States.
Sheriff Robert Luna called the shooting a "targeted attack" on Clinkunbroomer because he was a law enforcement officer.
"Without warning, he was killed while serving our society," Sheriff Luna said at a news conference.
A video cctv shows the gray Toyota Corolla car the shooter used during the murder, Luna said. However, as of Sunday night, no suspect has been identified.
"Please, I beg you, someone has the information to arrest him," he said.
Meanwhile, the Los Angeles County Authority, Palmdale City and Los Angles Sheriff's Association awarded $250,000 for information leading to the arrest of the perpetrators.
"Whoever did this, I will not give up. We will kill you," said Luna.
Deputy Clinkunbroomer was found behind the wheel of his patrol car badly injured around 6 pm. by a pedestrian who asked for help, police said.
Clinkunbroomer, who has served eight years in police force, died in hospital.
