West Pasaman Kejari Seizes Land Assets Belonging To Suspects In Hospital Cases

PASAMAN BARAT - West Pasaman District Attorney's (Kejari) investigators, West Sumatra, has again confiscated land assets belonging to one of the suspects in the construction of the West Pasaman Regional General Hospital (RSUD) building for the 2018-2020 fiscal year in Bekasi Regency, West Java Province.

Head of the West Pasaman District Attorney's Office, Muhammaf Yusuf Putra, said the confiscated land assets belonged to the suspect with the initials AA, the President Director of PT MAM Energindo, who won the project.

"Investigators managed to confiscate three plots of land with a total area of 5,451 square meters," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, September 15.

The three confiscated plots of land are land covering an area of 294 square meters according to the Certificate of Ownership (SHM) Number 01348 in Ridomanah Village, Cibarusah District, Bekasi Regency.

Then the land covering an area of 4,921 square meters according to SHM 02124 in Ridomanah Village, Cibarusah District, Bekasi Regency and a land area of 236 square meters according to SHM 05136 in Cibening Village, Setu District, Bekasi Regency.

"The three plots of land are estimated to be worth around Rp. 3 billion according to the Tax Object Selling Value (NJOP) data and the sale price of surrounding land," he said.

AA was named a suspect in a criminal act of corruption and money laundering in the case of the construction of the West Pasaman Hospital 2018-2020 (multi years) building which cost the state finances more than Rp. 16 billion.

He emphasized that the investigative team, led directly by the Head of the Special Crimes Section of the West Pasaman Kejari, Andita Rizkianto, was still hunting for assets belonging to suspect AA which were allegedly disguised, hidden or obscured their origin as a result of the corruption crime in the construction of the RSUD.

Previously, the prosecutor's investigators had also confiscated the assets of the land suspect and on it were two units of shop houses covering an area of 113 square meters and 700 square meters of land on which eight units of rented houses were built in Bekasi.

His party will continue to investigate where the flow of funds is. His party will not stop at the perpetrators of the crime of corruption but also against the perpetrators of money laundering.

Currently, the case for the construction of the RSUD for the 2018-2020 fiscal year with a budget ceiling of Rp. 136,119,063,000 has reached the trial stage.

Several defendants have been sentenced to various prison sentences ranging from one year to four years in prison and a number of fines. Meanwhile, three former hospital directors were released.

All the decisions of the defendants that have been tried by the Padang Corruption Court are not accepted by the Public Prosecutor.

The Prosecutor's Office filed an appeal against the Padang High Court and an appeal to the Supreme Court.
