JAKARTA Only 15 players from the Indonesian U-24 national team for the 2022 Asian Games Hangzhou participated in the training session of a total of 22 players who were called up for the multi-branch event.
Training sessions were held at Field A, Senayan, Jakarta, Friday, September 15, 2023. The players who have not joined because they still have to defend their club in Liga 1 Indonesia
"So from discussions with clubs for players who are still playing on the 15th and 16th [September], the club wants to release players if they play first," said Indonesia U-24 national team coach Indra Sjafri
The players who have not attended are Egy Maulana Vikri, Ramadhan Sananta, Alfeandra Dewangga, Beckham Putra, Rachmat Irianto, Ananda Raehan, and Kadek Arel.
Meanwhile, the names who have joined are Daffa Fasya, Ernando Ari, Adi Satrio, Andy Setyo, Rizky Ridho, M. Haykal, Dony Tri, Bagas Kaffa, Robi Darwis, S. Abimanyu, M. Taufany, George Brown, Hugo Samir, Ramai Rumakiek, and Titan Agung.
The names who have participated in the exercise will leave for China with Indra on Saturday, September 16 in the morning WIB. Egy was able to join the group after defending Dewa United.
"We will leave tonight at 00.30. The players who play on the 16th will depart on the 17th of the morning and Eyg, who plays tonight, will join the airport to leave together," said Indra. At the Asian Games, Garuda Troops will start the struggle on Tuesday, September 19. Kyrgyzstan will be the first opponent facing Ernando Ari and his friends.
After that, Indonesia will face Chinese Taipei two days later. The Garuda squad then closed the Group F match against North Korea on September 23.
