68 Cases Of Rabies Animal Bites Occurred In Mukomuko In 9 Months, Most In Ipuh District
BENGKULU - The Health Office (Dinkes) of Mukomuko Regency has handled 68 cases of rabies-infectious animal bites (GHPR) in the last nine months since January 2023.
"A total of 68 patients treated by these health workers are spread across 15 regions of this area," said Head of Control and Eradication of Infectious Diseases at the Mukomuko District Health Office Ruli Herlindo in Mukomuko, Monday, September 11, confiscated by Antara. He said, of the 68 cases of GHPR in this area, the most in Ipuh District were 13 cases, Pondok Suguh District eight cases, Lubuk Sanai Village six cases, Lubuk Pinang Village six cases. Then Dusun V Koto six cases, Mukomuko five cases, Air Rami five cases, Retak Mudik three cases, Air Manjuto three cases, Tunggal Jaya two kqsus, Teras Terunjam two cases, South Raya two cases, Lalang Area two cases, Penarik two cases, Malin Deman one case, Bukit Mulya one case, and Pillow one case. He said, out of 68 cases, one of them was declared positive rabies and this patient so that this patient was in addition to being given anti-rabies (VAR) vaccine and serum antirabies. One patient who was positive for rabies, namely a child who was still four years old who was bitten by a dog. The nearest health center has handled it and provided VAR then the child's wound was cleaned and given a SAR.
