Just Received The Report, The Reason The KPK Checks Cak Imin This Year Is Not 2012
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) revealed that the investigation into the alleged corruption in the procurement of the Indonesian labor protection system (TKI) at the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) was not suddenly carried out. There is no intention of targeting a figure related to the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres).
"It is not appropriate for law enforcers to suddenly conduct an examination or summon someone without any previous processes," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Monday, September 11.
Ali explained that this corruption case at the Ministry of Manpower did occur in 2012 or when Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin served as Minister of Manpower (Menaker). However, he made sure there was no political element in his investigation.
This is because investigators are moving based on reports from the public who have just entered. This stage then begins with an investigation after allegations of corruption were discovered.
"Even though the case occurred in 2012, only public reports were received and then the KPK has investigated the case since some time ago," he said.
"So it is clear that there is absolutely no business with the current political process," continued Ali.
Previously, the KPK had announced that three suspects were named in the case of procuring the protection system. Secretary of the Planning and Development Agency of the Ministry of Manpower I Nyoman Darmanta is reportedly one of the parties involved.
In investigating this case, several witnesses have been examined. One of them is the former Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin who served for the 2009-2014 period on Thursday, September 7.
As a result of this summons, various speculations occurred, including allegations of legal politicization. Even so, Cak Imin admitted that he had explained everything he knew in front of investigators.

At that time, Cak Imin was examined for five hours. "Everything I've heard and God willing, everything I remember, all I know I've explained," he said to reporters at the KPK's Red and White House.
He hopes that the KPK will immediately resolve the corruption case in the procurement of the TKI protection system. Cak Imin felt that his explanation was clear even though he did not want to go into detail.
Meanwhile, the anti-corruption commission said it was exploring several things in this case. Among other things, the reason Cak Imin approved the procurement of a protection system that led to a bancakan.
