At The G20 New Delhi Summit, Jokowi Emphasizes Solidarity And Equality The Key To Important World Development

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) conveyed to all members of the G20 that there are three keys to determining the direction of world development, namely stability, solidarity and equality.He conveyed this in response to global problem conditions in the second session of the G20 Summit in New Delhi, India."Falsafah ‘Satu Keluarga’ ini seharusnya bukan semata jargon. Tapi sebuah pola pikir untuk menentukan arah pembangunan dunia. Kita semua harus bertanggung jawab dan pastikan seluruh masyarakat dunia tanpa kecualikan hidup dalam damai, stabil dan sejahtera," kata Presiden Jokowi melalui keterangan tertulis di Jakarta, Antara, Minggu, 10 September.President Jokowi explained, as Chair of ASEAN 2023, Indonesia continues to encourage ASEAN to anchor regional stability. Indonesia will support the culture of dialogue and cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region.He called for an end to war and ended hostilities by adhering to international law and the spirit of inclusive cooperation and multilateralism.As a premium forum for economic cooperation, the G20 is directed to use solidarity as a spirit of cooperation between members.“ With increasingly polarized global conditions, the G20 must move to end the north-south, forward-growing, and east-west dichotomy. The door of dialogue and cooperation must be open to all countries, ” he explained.In the second session, President Jokowi also welcomed the joining of the African Union in the G20. Indonesia continues to encourage wider regional representations for global governance.According to him, the G20 must support strengthening the participation of developing countries in the global supply chain. An equivalent, inclusive, and fair cooperation ecosystem needs to be realized to fulfill development rights for all."“ G20 must advance the spirit of brotherhood and create a peaceful, just and prosperous world," he concluded.
Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto and a number of other Ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet also accompanied President Jokowi in the Second Session of the Summit.
