Jokowi Titip Pesan Ke Menpora Dito Segera Kembangkan Industri Kreatif Olahraga
JAKARTA - Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia (Menpora) Dito Ariotedjo conveyed a message from President Jokowi to develop a sports ecosystem.
This was conveyed by Menpora Dito at the peak of the commemoration of the XL National Sports Day (Haornas) in 2023 which took place at Jakarta International Velodrom, Jakarta, Saturday 9 September.
Dito said that President Jokowi directed that sports science needs to be made in universities.
The various study programs that can be strengthened are sports management, sports health, sports facilities architecture, the sports creative industry to be developed as soon as possible.
In addition, Menpora Dito said that President Jokowi directed prestigious sporting events from downstream or villages through tarkam championships.
"Currently, public spaces are starting to get busy, people are exercising again, the arenas are starting to fill many prestigious sporting events, even now in villages there is a Tarkam championship for recreational residents as well as growing local pride with achievements," said Dito, quoted by Antara, Sunday, September 10.

On this occasion, President Jokowi, who was unable to attend the event in person because it coincided with his citizenship duties, was represented by Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto.
Prabowo said that sports are closely related to defense. According to him, in a healthy soul there is a healthy body. Vice versa.
If a young man is strong physically and mentally, then the nation has the spirit to be victorious and prosperous. No nation has succeeded without a strong nation. Therefore all stakeholders have a very important role. The defense of a country is reflected in the achievements of its youth," said Prabowo.
Prabowo, who is currently also the General Chair of the Executive Board of the Indonesian Pencak Silat Association (Ketum PB IPSI) hopes that this year's Haornas commemoration will be a momentum to continue to generate sports in the country.
"I wish you a Happy National Sports Day in 2023. Hopefully this commemoration can build Indonesian sports. A winning nation is a nation that does not know to give up. A nation that continues to train to achieve success," he said.
