Corruption Of Official Travel Money, Former West Pasaman DPRD Member Sued 1.5 Years In Prison

PASAMAN BARAT - The public prosecutor of the West Pasaman District Attorney (Pasbar), West Sumatra (West Sumatra) demanded the suspect with the initials AT with a sentence of 1.5 years in prison for a subsidiary of three months in prison and a fine of Rp. 50 million.

AT, a former member of the Pasbar DPRD, is believed to be involved in a corruption case in paying for official travel expenses at the local DPRD Secretariat for the 2018 fiscal year.

"The demand was read out last Tuesday (5/9) at the Corruption Court in Padang City," said West Pasaman District Attorney Muhammad Yusuf Putra at Simpang Empat, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, September 8.

The defendant AT, a former member of the DPRD for the 2014-2019 period, from January to December 2018 committed a criminal act of corruption in paying for official travel expenses at the West Pasaman DPRD Secretariat.

The audit results stated that there was a state financial loss of Rp. 101,394,000 due to the actions of the defendant AT.

"The suspect has returned the money. However, the trial process is still ongoing," he said.
