Police Pocket Video Evidence Of Persecution Recording Will Candidates For Sekotong West Lombok
NTB - The police have obtained video footage of the incident by residents of a prospective legislative candidate from Sekotong, West Lombok.
Head of Public Relations of the NTB Police Commissioner Arman Asmara Syarifuddin said the video recording has now become the completeness of evidence in the police investigation process.
"So, the evidence that was secured in this case contained a flash drive containing footage of incidents of abuse, black jackets with blood stains, batik shirts, gloves with blood stains, and two-wheeled vehicles," said Arman in Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Wednesday, September 6, confiscated by Antara.
He explained that the handling of the case under the control of the West Lombok Police Satreskrim Investigation Team now leads to the alleged violation of Article 170 paragraph (2) 1 of the Criminal Code or Article 406 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 160 of the Criminal Code concerning criminal acts of persecution.
"So, this investigation is related to allegations of criminal acts jointly carrying out persecution of people or goods or what is commonly called beatings," he said.
Dalam proses penyidikan, Arman mengatakan penyidik belum melakukan penetapan tersangka karena masih ada sejumlah saksi yang belum memberikan keterangan kepada penyidik.
"So, there are three people who I call witnesses who have been summoned twice, but have not been present yet," he said.

In addition to the three people, there have been 20 witnesses who have undergone examination. The results of the victim's post-mortem and expert testimony in the field of digital forensics have also been obtained.
The case of alleged abuse by residents against the candidate from Sekotong took place in the village where he lived on Sunday, July 17, 2023.
The persecution was revealed as a form of reaction to the presence of residents broadcasting information through loudspeakers at the mosque regarding the alleged candidate from Sekotong who had committed immoral acts against the victim, who was none other than his daughter.
Luckily, the information about the persecution quickly received a response from the police so that the candidate from Sekotong was saved from the residents' tantrums and received intensive medical treatment at the hospital.
